I HAVE JUST STARTED TO TAP IN TO THE SPIRIT RECENTLY , ABLE TO HEAR ,, AND I HAD SOME SCRIPTURAL CONFIRMATIONS, I AM LOOKING FOR INFO OR DOWNLOADS ON THE PROPHETIC TASK OF WATCHMEN , I AM A 25 YEAR OLD MALE.. WHO IS NOT AFTER TYPICAL YOUNG ADULT THINGS, THE LORD HAS CALLED ME AND I WAS ABLE TO HEAR IN BEFORE, BUT I WAS HINDERED BY A MENTALITY THAT HAD DEVELOPED  I FINALLY HAVE STARTED TO BREAK THE MNETALITY OF LIVING IN THE PAST AND PRESSING IN. BUT MY HEAD IS SPINNING AT TIMES , AND CONCERNED IF I SHOULD APPRACH MY CHURCH ABOUT IT, THE LORD GAVE ME THE SCRIPTURE THAT CONFIRMED A FRIEND S WORDS THAT I NEED A COMMUNITY TO CULIVATE  , BUT IF I DONT FIND  ONE ( THATS THE PROBLEM) AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD U CAN NOT MAKE IT ON THE HOLY SPIRIT ALONE IN THIS) ACTS 2:6- HOW THEY CAME TOGETHER,  ANY ADVICE ,ANY RESOURCES, MUCH APPRECIATED-  ERIC

Hi Eric

Your situation reminds me of the young Samuel when God first called Him. His head was spinning too and he thought it was the priest Eli calling Him rather than the Lord. It is not as easy as people think and this is why the prophetic ministry is so important.

In the days of Samuel, He was leading a company of pophets and we would like to see ourselves as a company of prophets and so you can certainly join us so that together we can learn and grow. This is what this ministry is here for.

The problem is that there is little understanding in the church about how the prophet ministry should operate in the local church, which I can't cover in just one post as there is a whole lecture about it called, "Prophetic Utterance" which teaches you about when and how the prophet should speak. Not everything the Lord shows you needs to be spoken out or shared.

In the books of Daniel and Revelations, you will find that at times the Lord would give the OK to write or prophesy and other times He would say, seal it!

It is clear that you need training and we can certainly help in this. Regarding a community of prophets, we have just launched our NPWs (Network of Prophetic Warriors and Watchmen on the Wall). A Form will be available soon for those interested to join and Prophetic Warriors from around the world would meet and fellowship and stand on the wall.

If you are not interested in any of the above, we will always be here to answer your questions on the forum as the Lord leads, ok?

Hi Eric,

Having read of your post, I think it's important to let you know that it is one thing to be called,  and it is another thing to be trained for the call upon one's life. I'm impressed by your comment, yet I have this question to ask you, have you decided on how to take this call on you to the next level? Where are you now since after this post? Some decisions are best not delayed. if you are like me, one whose life is centred around his assignment like Samuel, I will advise you do not have another time to waste than to join the crew now as delay can always spell denial.

Functioning in your aunction and within the authority of your capacity is a lot different from just using the prophetic gift.

The Lord has a mandate on your life. You have just got a glimpse of it, you have not started the journey yet. The stage which you are now is what we call prophetic orientation! You have the orientation, but not yet in the realm.

You therefore need a prophet to take you by the hand through the journey. It takes a sheep to raise a sheep, and a donkey to raise a donkey. It therefore takes a prophet to raise a prophet. Look for one and be raised.

And if you love and appreciate what the Lord is doing here and you will like to be a part, feel free to sign in and join the new army the Lord is raising in His prophets.

HEY  I JUST READ UR POST,  WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING, WELL  I HAVE A FEW TRUSTED IN THE LORD WHO  ARE FAMILIAR WITH IT, AND  I AM LEARNING ALL I CAN,,  BEEN FIGHTING WITH THE LORD ABIT, I DONT SUBSCRIBE TO ANY CERTAIN THEOLOGY, ALTHOUGH  I ATTEND AN AG CHURCH, MY END TIMES STRONG BELIEVE IS POST TRIB, AND  I FEAR IF THAT THEOLOGY IS RIGHT , THERE WILL BE A GREAT FALL AWAY WHEN IT DOESNT HAPPEN THE WAY OTHERS INTEND, AND  I FEAR NOT OUT OF PARANOIA THAT THE HAPPY DAYS AND GOING TO BE SHORTENED ,  I  AM HOWEVER PRAYING TO GO TO A CERTAIN PLACE TO TRAIN FOR A SEASON, A HOP ( HOUSE OF PRAYER)  I HAVE A FEW FRIENDS IN THERE,  AND I  NEED TO GET ON BOARD,  MY LIFE HAS BEEN MESSED UP COMPLETLY, THIS ALL STARTED AS A CHILD, FROM SEEING A DEMONIC FIGURE ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, TO BE LABLED AND DIAGNOSED DIFEERENT THINGS, ABUSE, REJECTION, ANY LITTLE HAPPY EXSISTANCE USUALLY GETS SHATTERED AFTER TIME, AND NOW I KNOW WHY, WHEN PEOPLE AT CHURCH DIDNT WANT TO BE BOTHERED THEY USED TO SAY TALK TO THE LORD AND WELL IT WORKED, A DIFFERENT WAY, THE LORD HAS BEEN LEADING ME TO PRAY THE STUFF BACK , HENCE INTERCESSION,  AND I THOUGHT THE PROPHETIC DUTY OF DECALRING DISASTER OR OTHER WAS ONLY FOR OLD TESTAMENT , BUT APPRENTLY I M WRONG AND BEEN MISINFORMED,  I WAS HURT BY A CHURCH BEFORE , AND  IHELD THAT BITTERNESS AND THE LORD HAS BEEN LEADING ME TO FORGIVE AND WALK IN LOVE EVEN IF LOVE ISNT RETURNED ,  SO  THERES A BALANCE THE LOVE AND FIRECENESS , CANT HAVE ONE WITH OUT THE OTHER, BUT THE KEY FOR ALL US , IS PRAYER LIKE NEVER BEFORE ,  THE WORDS WHAT THE SPIRIT IS SAYING PRAY BACK ,, UNRELENTING, UNCEASING PRAYER, I PRAY NOBODY  I KNOW OR WHO HAVE THIS AS WELL WONT FALL AWAY,  SO THAT IS WHAT IS HAPPENING THUS FAR  IN CHRIST -ERIC
